doctors i had an ultrasound done scan showed gas in bowels. why are my lower bowels filled with soo much air/gas. i have a hard time eating alot. hiatal hernia present/diverticular diverticulosis present. mild inflammation in stomach present?

: This doesn't sound abnormal. Everyone has gas in their intestines, which mostly comes from swallowing air along with fluid and drink. This probably means nothing, but discuss with your doctor if you remain concerned.

i have pencil thin stools pain on my left side confirmed diverticulosis but i'm told everything is ok. what are my options. gi dr won't see me. ?

Ask PCP for help?: Perhaps your PCP, who knows you best, may feel imaging at this point may be reassuring to you, and may arrange same.

i had an ultrasound done of my groins and it showed multiple swollen lymph nodes in both sides. i also have soreness in those areas the largest lymph node was 1.3 is this potentially cancerous? i had diverticulitis 4 mth ago and they were normal?

Need more info: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you. Cancer of lymph glands or of pelvic organs cannot be excluded. You should discuss with your doctor if lymph node biopsy is warranted for examination by a pathologist to ascertain the nature of enlargement of nodes.

i have severe narrowing of digestive tract plus severe sigmoid diverticulosis in different parts of colon. constant niggling pain in low left side.

Sounds : Like you are having low grade diverticulitis or intermittent intestinal obstruction.  Depending on why you developed your narrowing, it could mean that an operation is necessary to relieve the obstruction.  Ask your GI specialist for recommendation.

No diagnostic test: is ever 100%.  There are always false negatives and positives.  In your case, your doctor was probably looking for kidney stones or infection or a problem with your ovary, not something in the colon.  US has better sensitivity in kidney and ovarian problems than in colon problems.

Probably, since...: ...there is a huge difference between IBS (a functional process) and diverticulitis (an inflammatory one). The differential diagnosis requires clarification so appropriate treatment can begin for either of these entities, or maybe an entirely unrelated third condition. If uncertain your present practitioner can assist further, seek help elsewhere.

Ct scan?: While the radiation exposure is a potential issue, you may need a ct scan to see what's going on. Before that however, you may want to get a consultation with a colorectal surgeon. That doesn't mean you need an operation, but you may get more detailed info that might help. Could also be a hernia, which can usually be found on exam. Hope this helps!

gas, bloating, bad stomach pains that radiate to back, bright red blood in stool sometimes normal ultrasound. what can it be? gastitis? diverticulitis

Unlikely gastritis: Bright red blood is usually associated with disease of the left colon such as diverticulitis or hemorrhoids, but the latter is not typically associated with gas bloating. See your internist for an evaluation.
