Possibly : If the cyst was exceptionally large then pain referred to the other side is possible. This is not as likely as something else causing the pain.

: The right ovary may have also had a cyst which ruptured, causing the pain. Once ruptured, it would not show up on ultrasound or on physical exam.

Referred pain: Any ovarian follicle that is larger than about two centimeters is termed an ovarian cysts. Some cysts can be as large as orange.Dull aching, or severe, sudden, and sharp pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen (one or both sides), pelvis, vagina, lower back, or thighs; pain may be constant or intermittent the most common symptom thigh pain is referred from cyst resting on nerve in the pelvic area.

Not from ovarian cys: Ovarian cyst does not cause pain in the rib cage.That includes front, back or on the side.

Usually resolve: It is normal for a small cyst to develop on the ovaries from time to time. Ovarian cysts are quite common in women during their reproductive years and may be a single cyst or many cysts. Most cysts are benign and only require monitoring.  Most are cysts which develops from tissue that changes in the normal process of ovulation. They usually disappear within 6-8 weeks.

You should be disc: Discussing this with your gyn doc, depends on what kind of cysts you have, you may need to get on continuous bc pills to prevent the cysts, if you have endometriosis you may need depo- Lupron (leuprolide) or further surgery so without knowing more details cannot provide other advice so you should make an appt with your gyn or go for a 2nd opinion, but if u go for a 2nd opinion make sure u bring your records.

ovarian cyst cause a change in discharge? experiencing sharp pain in lower left side and a thick white/milky stretchy discharge with mild odor.

Discharge: I would look to other causes of this pain and rule out cervicitis, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, urerthritis or a urinary tract infection.  You need to see a doctor to have a urine test and a pelvic exam and possibly cultures taken to determine the cause.  Hope this helps

Yes: A left ovary can "swing behind the uterus" and cause right sided symptoms especially if large.

May need to go to ER: If your abdominal pain continues to get worse, you should go to an ER in a hospital as Surgery may be necessary to remove the cyst if your pain is severe, persistent and associated with nausea/ vomiting or Fever.
If you remain relatively well for 24 hours then you could wait to see your doctor next week.

i had an ovarian cyst cause torsion so they removed ovary&tube (left) years ago. i am now experiencing the same pain on the same side. it is a heavy painful pressure that feels like stabbing when i move. could this pain be from the remaining right 1?

Possible: Sometimes after surgery you can develop adhesion s and that can displace your ovary.  Although pain could even be from adhesion on that side. Either way, I would let your ob know about it and get checked.
