i was thought to have marfan's syndrome . my first pregnancy i had echo of my heart done many times but no changes . does that clear me from having it?

Marfan syndrome : The echo shows whether the heart abnormalities on Marfan are present and to what extent. You could still have marfan's. Talk to your doctor and ask if you have it and what you need to do.

i have been having these symptoms for a year and a half, all started during my last pregnancy. shortness of breath on exertion, and heart palps. my heart echo three months ago was good. my ferritn at the time of pregnancy was 8. can i get a lab order?

Before lab orders: It sounds like you may have iron deficient anemia. Lab orders from random physicians unaware of your detailed medical history and unable to follow up on results will not serve you best. Talk to your GP or Gyn doc about your symptoms, they will be able to discuss options and pick tests that will make sense and also act on results as needed.

ASD vs PFO: At 32 weeks gestation (and through pregnancy) there is a "hole" connecting the upper two heart chambers.So this "hole on the us would be considered normal. That "hole" is called a foramen ovale. It can persist after birth and be a patent foramen ovale (pfo). It is very similar to an atrial septal defect (asd), usually just a very slight difference in location on the septal wall.Not much difference.

Anemia: You are not going to die.  Your symptoms are commonly  from mal nourishment as your baby took so much nourishment out of you.  You need help to treat your anemia, and low potassium and probably low on a number of vital substances.  Start with super nutrition, take slow release iron, potassium foods e.g. bananas, get good sleep and get help with your baby.  You will get better and be OK.

It's common: Your cardiac output increases greatly, and a physician with good ears can hear any turbulence in the heart that this wil produce. If your physician isn't concerned, i would not be either.

Yes: In many normal pregnancies a heart murmur can develop as a result of the increase in blood volume that occurs during pregnancy. The vast majority of heart murmurs are harmless but in rare cases, they may suggest a problem with the mother’s heart valves.  A physician can  evaluate your condition and determine the cause of a murmur and whether it is something that needs further treatment or concern.

when can you hear a baby heart with just a stethoscope during pregnancy?

20 weeks: If you know exactly what to listen for, the room is quiet, good stethoscope and thin patient, 20 weeks if you are lucky.  Otherwise, probably not before 26 weeks, if then.  With a stethoscope the fetal heart sounds like a faint tap; you can almost feel the percussion from the heart more than you can hear it.   It goes tap, tap, tap.
