Possible: If your ultrasound was done in an accredited vascular lab, the sensitivity is very, very good. That being said, even the best trained technicians can miss things, so if you are still concerned, talk with your doctor.

Lumps and bumps!: With a swelling or lump that is new should be checked by a doc in person.  There are many causes of lumps and bumps, most are not serious, but since you are also having pain in that leg, you need to get it examined.  See your primary care doc first, who can decide who would be the best specialist to see to diagnose and treat it.

Yes - attn needed: There is the possibility of a post traumatic thrombo phlebitis in your leg, with resulting recent pulmonary embolus to the lungs.....A prompt visit is needed to a physician and possible hospitalization; lung scan needed to differentiate acute pulmonary embolus from any chronic lung changes from cigarette smoking. See a physician promptly.

Look out for clot: Xray really was to see if you had a fracture. It may see signifincant swelling but it does not see minor soft tissue injuries. Most likely you had some contusion/sprain/strain, but injury to the calf/leg areas increase risk of blood clot etc..So, if you have more swelling and soreness etc., recheck with your doc..Motrin/aleve may help the pain. Keep active. Good luck.

Have her seen: I would definitely have her seen.  There are a number of possibilities, assuming that she did not injure it, which presumably you would have mentioned.  These can include gout, sciatica, infection, even a blood clot.  A simple exam would go a long way to determine the cause.
