Adhesions: Adhesions develop in the abdominal cavity as a result of inflammation caused by surgery and the healing process.  As long as your doctor has ruled out a hernia or infection as a cause for your symptoms, gentle regular massage around the site of your surgical scar may help loosen the adhesions and decrease your symptoms.

had an ultra sound lower abdomen just below c -section scar and results came back stating the lump i felt was fat. could this become cancerous?

No: There are tumors (sarcomas) which are cancers of connective tissue (which is type of tissue, along with fat, that's under your scar).  Lumps under cesraean section scars are usually scars that can take years to dissolve and go away.  The chances of this lump under your cesarean become cancer is very very very close to zero.  Doctor can inject with steroids if causing you pain, but time will heal.

three cycles, spotting 4 days b4 period. every two wks. last cycle only spotting for 10 ultrasound found fluid in c-section scar. what can this mean?

Unstable lining: more details are needed and this is a concern that is probably best managed over a formal consultation, but the fluid probably represents an area that is still healing and unable to create stable endometrial lining, that periodically bleeds given that it is not well developed. give it some time, I would definitely avoid pregnancy during this time and so consider birth control

Unable to assess: Its not possible to assess your scar without an exam.  Are you having any problems with the scar such as pain, redness, keloid formation, discharge, etc?   Best wishes!

how is scar endometriosis treated on your c section scar?

Accepted Answer

Removal: Removal of the endometriosis in the scar depends on the location and depth.  Options include scar surgical revision with assessment of the pelvis for more endometriosis, cautery of the surface endometriosis or application of surface agents. Your treating GYN MD will have to decide on how best to proceed.

how long does it take for c-section scar with dissolvable stitches to heal?

Accepted Answer

Six weeks: Most dissolvable sutures will dissolve around 6 weeks, by which time your own body's scar tissue will have formed enough that you do not have to worry about tearing which is why you are usually advised not to do heavy lifting for 6 weeks post-op.  However, the healing continues for months after as the body remodels scar tissue and softens/fades the scar.  It can take 1-2 years.

i have a c-section scar from 20 years ago.  yesterday it felt itchy and when i touched it, there was a little pus and an odor.

Infection: Even after 20 years you may have an infection from a small piece of suture.  Best to go see your doctor and get it checked out.

? Endometriosis: See your gynecologist for an exam but this far out it may be endometriosis and can be cut out.

Scar: The C-section scar is located in a sensitive area and can remain sensitive over time for several reasons, pulling onto the fascia, excess scar tissue, skin folds, nerve dysfunction. If massage and local injections of anesthetics don't help, you may want to consider a scar revision.
