Scar: The C-section scar is located in a sensitive area and can remain sensitive over time for several reasons, pulling onto the fascia, excess scar tissue, skin folds, nerve dysfunction. If massage and local injections of anesthetics don't help, you may want to consider a scar revision.

Scar Tissue can: Scar tissue can trap nerve endings. In my practice I find lidocaine mixed with a little Decadron (dexamethasone) can shrink the scar and decrease pain. It works well.
