: By CDC:  "If more than 6 months have elapsed since the first dose, administer the second dose as soon as possible. Do not restart the vaccine series, and do not substitute Zostavax® (zoster vaccine live) for the second dose of Shingrix". However, it is unknown whether or not you are at an increased risk for shingles versus those who had the vaccine doses on time. Good luck.

Wash hands: The appropriate answer is "all of the above". When C. diff exits the body it becomes inactive and develops a protective coating that protects it from air, heat, etc. (spore). The spore will reactivate when it is ingested and reaches the intestine. The key to its survival is the environment and the amount of cleaning that occurs. A solution of one part bleach/9 parts water will kill it. Wash hands!

Clostridium difficil: Severe explosive green diarrhea.  Extreme foul odor.  Can occur spontaneously..but more often follows a course of broad spectrum antoibiotics.  Abdominal pain, gas and fever can accompany this all.  Toxins (A &amp; B) being produced causing the symptoms.  I've treated hundreds of cases of Cdiff..and yes it can spontaneously resolve in some..but best for antibiotics (Dificid, Flagyl, Oral vancomycin).

C.Diff: C.Diff cases differ from person to person. Some are worse than others. The recovery rate in healthy individuals are high with appropriate treatment.

C. diff: Not that I am aware of. I don't think you need to follow any certain diet. Just stay away from caffeine, dairy, fried and fatty foods or any other foods known to cause/aggravate your discomfort. I strongly suggest getting a probiotic supplement to help restore normal flora.

Agree with Dr. H: It may be safe, but is highly unlikely to be effective.

Depends on cause: Recovery period depends on underlying cause of pleurisy. Pleurisy in an inflammation of the lining of the lungs, and the underlying cause has to be evaluated to determine treatment. Response to initial therapy can also determine the duration of the recovery period.
