Not likely: The only way to be related is if you are now dehydrated from the sore throat and not wanting to take fluids. You will need treatment for the urinary track inf    Hydrate and continue to rest

Coughing up: Blood at any time requires further work up! see your pcp. Do not put this off.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. The constellation of symptoms you mentioned may have more than one explanation. It would be prudent to see your doctor.

Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) reaction?: doesn't sound like a reaction to augmenting,  i wouldn't yet

Viruses stink: Most sinus infections in children and adults are viral pathogens.  It's not uncommon for symptoms to last 4-5+ weeks. I'd talk to your doctor about ways to decrease some of the symptoms. Can be as easy as DayQuil or if appropriate, I will prescribe a cough syrup (eg Tussionex) with an intranasal steroid (eg, Nasonex) and/or Chloraseptic Max Cough drops (they have 2 numbing agents in them). G'luck!

Mononucleosis: get BOTH a rapid strept and mono spot test in addition to a CBC. Follow up with your PCP to rule out both stept and infectious mononuclosis.

How long has it been: If your symptoms are only a few days old then i would suspect a viral infection.  If it has been weeks or months then i would suspect allergies.  If you have fever and green or yellow mucus and it has been going on for more than 3 or 4 days then i would suspect a bacterial infection that would require an antibiotic.

Possible emergency: Though nasal and sinus symptoms caused by infection can sometimes cause a 'salty' taste, when 'everything' tastes salty, one needs to be worried about a spinal fluid leak.  If you have had any recent trauma or sinus surgery, you need to see your doctor immediately!

what med is best to take for sinus drainage and raw/sore throat?

Aloe vera juice: Try gargling with aloe vera juice twice a day to help with raw throat. But, if sinuses don't stop draining - see your doctor.
