Yes but : Effectiveness would really depend on etiology if the numbness....

There are medications (prescription) likemelavil, amitryptilline, lyrica, (pregabalin) cymbalta.
There is medical food like Metanx.
There are treatment modalities like neurogenix,....to name some alternatives...

i am 11 weeks post-op from orif r fibula. plate & 10 screws. have numbness,tingling, burning in foot from nerve pain.  will this heal?

Probably!: but damaged nerves take a long time to "regenerate" 6-8 months is not unusual. Your Orthopedist will likely discuss this with you!

1 month out from tarsal tunnel, baxton nerve surgery.  i am starting to put full weight on foot. still have pins and needles, and some burning in foot top and bottom. when i stand on foot any length of time, it turns purple. normal at 1 month?

Yes, : Nerve surgery (at least in my opinion after 26 years of private practice) Is the least predictable/slowest recovery of most any procedure we do. Much of the recovery depends on how long standing the problem was prior to treatment. I tell my patients it will take 3-12 months to get a good idea of the amount of reliefe they will get. Typically pins, needles, burning and "zingers" grad improve w time

Yes: Burning pain can be caused by several conditions, including diabetes, sciatica and lumbar spine issues.  Burning pain is nerve related and finding the cause will help with the treatment.  If the pain constant and wakes you up at night it could be neuropathy.  If it is intermittent and worse when standing or sitting for long periods, it may be from your back.  See a neurologist for evaluation.

Neuropathy: Strokes can cause nerve damage anywhere in the body. It is important to see the neurologist to evaluate your stroke. The neurologist may order blood work and a nerve conduction test to determine the source of the pain as well as medication to reduce the pain.

Neuropathy: This may  or may not be the result of diabetes. Have your physician check this out to determine cause and get proper treatment.

Burning : In one foot along with back pain may be due to a pinched nerve. It may be a good idea to see an orthopedic doc who specializes in back problems for a thorough exam.

Complex answer: Foot pain when you jump can be due to may reasons. Most common will be some overuse of the muscles or tendons. You can also have stress fracture or have a pinched nerve tendonitis all of which can lead to pain. Also depends on where the pain is located in the foot. Of course if you hurt yoursel like a slip and fall, you can also have broken bones. So you can see there are many reason for foot pain.

can a kidney stone cause burning sensation in foot?

Unlikely: Kidney stones if obstructing the outflow (ureter) can cause pain elsewhere in the back, chest, pelvis, testicles in men, but it would be most unlikely to have burning in your foot from the stones.  Do you have nausea and vomiting? Any other pain or fever?
