Complex answer: Foot pain when you jump can be due to may reasons. Most common will be some overuse of the muscles or tendons. You can also have stress fracture or have a pinched nerve tendonitis all of which can lead to pain. Also depends on where the pain is located in the foot. Of course if you hurt yoursel like a slip and fall, you can also have broken bones. So you can see there are many reason for foot pain.
