The actual diagnosis will determine proper and appropriate treatment. This requires a complete medical and dental history and a clinical examination. Fissured tongue: This is usually a variation of normal and requires no treatment other than extra care to keep it clean with a tongue scraper or a tooth brush used on a daily basis. If you have any other problems or questions, you should see an oral surgeon for a consultation.

Reflux?: This could possibly be a problem called 'geographic tongue'  usually caused by reflux.  You should have a physician look at it to be sure and possibly get some treatment.

: Oral thrush is an infection of yeast. Yeast infections when left untreated can destroy cells and surrounding tissue and cause ulcers, fissures and general redness/swelling. Makes sure to see your Dr for treatment of Thrush.

Antacid & Physician: Rinsing your mouth with a liquid antacid can help with the burning, but it only makes you more comfortable, it doesn't fix the problem. Beside seeing a dentist, you should see your physician and get checked for diabetes, a common cause of burning tongues. Another cause can be an excessively dry mouth.

is it normal to have a crack in your tongue? i have one crack on the top of my tongue toward the tip. ive read about fissures, but i only have one and it seems like with fissures you have many. i didnt bite or damage my tongue?

: One may only have one fissure in his or her tongue. It may be deep or shallow.. It is usually in the center of the tongue in that case.

Not herpes: Herpes outbreaks of the anal area can mimic anal fissures. But the vast majority of anal fissures have nothing to do with herpes. If "Tested -" means you had a negative blood test for HSV, then you can be 100% certain your fissures have nothing to do with herpes.

Yes: Fissures can cause pain, swelling , inflammation and cause infection. I would see a doctor if your pain is severe. Good luck

Although these grooves may look unsettling, the condition is usually painless. Some individuals may complain of an associated burning sensation however it is benign.
