i have been having sharp burning nerve pain and other issues only on the right side of my body,muscle issues,also extreme fatigue and cant gain weight. its pointing towards ms symptoms. what should be my next step? how do you get tested

See your doc: While your symptoms may suggest at least partially MS, there are many other conditions much more common that may contribute to your symptoms. Starting with an exam with your doc would be ideal.

Go to the ER: You need to call your doctor asap or go to the ER. It sounds like you need a more thorough history and physical exam to determine what is wrong but these could potentially very serious symptoms.

i've been having  burning , pins and needles, electric shook feeling for 7 mths. it developed after taking a antibiotic will i ever heal. neuropathy?

Sounds neuropathic: like.  Not aware of m/any antibiotics other than for TB that do this. Are you diabetic or do you drink alcohol? You should consult a neurologist.  It wouldn't hurt to be sure that your vitamins are replete, especially B12, Folate, and consider taking Pyridoxine or Pyridoxal-5-phosphate.  Good luck!

Padadentin?: Never heard of such a drug....do you mean GABAPENTIN?  Your doctor will let you know when it's time to come off the medication.  It really depends upon the reason you were placed on it to begin it. Are you by chance suffering from Shingles? That could cause AWFUL NOCTURNAL burning. You don't want to stop too early. In any case, your doctor will know the right time frame based upon your diagnosis.

Meds?: Nerve pain suppressors include gabapentin, lyrica, savella, (milnacipran) cymbalta, and perhaps tricyclic antidepressants, but also oral and patch opioids.  Nerve blocks can be considered, and may gain benefit from acupuncture, biofeedback, or exercises.  Might consider looking at retesting to make sure of confirmed explanation.

Nerve pain: Burning pain can be neurogenic or myofascial in nature. Thoracic disc herniation is uncommon and often missed, but if present can be quite symptomatic. Myofascial pain can be vague and related to stress, injury, or fibromyalgia.  Most back pain resolved in 6 weeks.  So after 7 months an MRI and a doctor visit is in order.

Tramadol is a weak: Opioid narcotic used for treatment of pain - sometimes used for chronic neuropathic pain - like the one you describe - or even fibromyalgia. It may or may not work in a given individual.

Medications, surgery: Both over-the-counter and prescription medications may helpful. Over-the-counter options include capsaicin, a topical cream that initially causes a burning sensation but can eventually lead to decreased pain. Prescription options include Gabapentin (neurontin), Pregabalin (lyrica), and others. Sometimes surgical decompression is necessary. Discuss your symptoms with your doctor.
