Wrist pain: Kelsey, as I often tell my patients in the office, I wish I had x-ray vision.  Then I could tell if things were fractured.  It is even worse on the internet.  There is no way to tell without an x-ray.  Get seen in the morning, its not an emergency.  Put ice on it, continue the ibuprofen, wrap it up.  Good luck.

i went on a trip recently and was lifting heavy bags. a day into the trip i noticed a bump on my collarbone/shoulder area and slight pain in area and numbness/tingling in my hand and arm. 3 weeks later and still have bump and numbness/tingling?

: You should be examined by an orthopedist because a simple cervical plexus strain couldn't fully explain all symptoms.

: You seem worried more, you have had physical evaluation so hopefully you would get the reassurance or diagnosis after ultrasound. Do you breast feed? The armpit may just be reactive lymphnode. The sore muscles may just be from carrying the baby as you suggested and you could look for a different way like a front or back baby carrier to ease the strain on your left side.

It is not: It may be just a bad or long scarring, a piece of debris that got caught in the wound or scarring of the bone; but there is no way to know without a proper evaluation

hi i burnt my thumb this morning/afternoon and the pain is increasing gradually it started at the tip of my thumb but now i have a tingling sensation ?

Burnt thumb: I suspect that the nerve endings are causing your symptoms  - as your thumb responds to the thermal insult.   - it is likely that it will swell - and put pressure on the skin nerves  causing the sensation.    I would try to keep the hand elevated and cool compresses  - which may help.   A good OTC anti inflammatory  -  aspirin or advil (ibuprofen)  may help.

Carpal tunnel syndro: Carpal tunnel syndrome is the most likely. You should be evaluated and treated.

Possible CTS: You may be describing entrapment of the median nerve at the wrist, especially if the thumb, index, middle and ring finger are involved.

You should discuss the problem with your doctor.

Nerve irritation: Tingling anywhere in your body is often due to irritation of a nerve. Tingling in the thumb can be the result of irritation of a nerve at the neck (c6 root), at the forearm/wrist (superficial radial nerve) or at the wrist/hand (median nerve). If symptoms last more than a couple of days, please see your doctor for an evaluation.

what should my son do for a bump on the side of his thumb?

Need to see it: It may not be a problem but you need to show it to your physician. To be safe it could be an infection.
