could a painless bump on the shin be a blood clot? if so could it be linked to or a symptom of dvt?

DVT occurs: mainly in the deep vein is the calf, not anterior shin.  If there is any question, a venous doppler study is usually diagnostic.

husband hit his lower leg about a week ago. now there is a bump, soft to the touch & red spot/sore next to it. no other symptoms. should he be seen?

Wait for a few days: He has a hematoma.  If skin is not broken, he will be ok.

1 month itching on face/scalp now also on body. no rash but few isolated red bumps on arm/leg. face itch most intense. no change in soaps/clothes. no meds. cbc, cmp, bmp tests clear. if cancer, would there be other symptoms? what else could it be?

: It could be an allergy, infection etc and you have to be seen to be diagnosed. These are not the usual symptoms of cancer. So pl see your doc or a dermatologist. good luck

Physician Eval.: You should be evaluated by your physician or an orthopaedic surgeon. X-rays will determine if the bones are involved. An ultrasound or MRI will help determine the status of the bump as well.

: Localized Trauma causes the breakage of small capillaries close to the skin and around the injury site. These broken vessels leak fluid into the local tissues which can look like a bump, or if they leak blood, like a bruise. Typically, these bumps/bruises will aid in the healing of the injured areas and will go away within days or a week. Apply ice to reduce inflammation and avoid reinjuring.

Lumps and bumps : You are an 18 year old female with a painful bump, please see your doctor. Unless there has been direct trauma to explain this I have a high suspicion and concern. This must be worked up. Orthopaedics has a protocol based on your age and location of bump. This is not to be ignored.

Shin bump: Other information would helpful to determine what this might be. Does it have any color, is there increased temperature of the skin, does it move beneath the skin?

See your doctor: Your doctor could see if it is infectious folliculitis or if you have atopic dermatitis.  Depending on the circumstances of how it got there also affects how to treat it.  It may be from an injury or a razor burn, .
