Lump: Hard to say for sure.  It could be a ganglion cyst that arises from the synovial membrane  Since it is painful when you press on it you should show it to your doctor to be sure no further investigation is required

Don't worry: Small masses on the fingers can be the result of several pathologies.  From small ganglion cysts, bone spurs, inclusion cysts, neuromas (usally painful) and  giant cell tumor (sounds really bad...But is really benign).  The best solution is to have it examined by a hand surgeon who can either obtain imaging to better diagnose it or excise it to get the exact pathology.

my engagement ring (solitaire with plain band) is aching my finger bone.  its a little swollen, not red, and a small fleshy bump developed. why?

It may be too tight: If it doesn't move easily - consider removing it by using dish detergent with water to slide off. It may be wearing against a particular part of your finger.  Keep it off until the swelling goes down. Get it re-sized if it is always tight. Take care.

Injury: Possible fracture or dislocation with nerve injury. If affecting hand use or movement would get evaluation as some type of intervention and or physical therapy may help you recover faster or more completely.

Bump on the back : The "back" has a lot of normal hard bumps;  from the spine called spinous processes, the sacrum (part of the back of the pelvis)  has bumps as does the iliac crest. You can look at them on the internet. A tense neck should be evaluated in person. It can be from muscle tension, pinched nerves, arthritis, disc disease, infections, or emotional stresses.

i feel around my hyoid bone  to the sides there is a bump on either side but the left one is more prominent now its been there for 8+ years i just remembered it was there. is the bone bumpy? i have scans due to hashimotos but this has never come up

Hyoid : The hyoid does have bumps on either side and this is very likely what you are feeling. Some degree of asymmetry would be expected.

Yes: A chip fracture is common after some sort of injury.  Often this is called an avulsion fracture as its usually a ligament pulling off a small piece of bone.  Get an xray to make sure, you may need treatment.
