May be normal: Your bilirubin result is within normal limits. Depending on the lab that did amylase, that may also be within normal limits. All lab results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and your doctor is the best one to do that. See these sites for info.

Yes: Though this is more likely with an acute flare in someone with chronic pancreatitis.  Much of the pancreas may already be damaged/scarred/fibrosed in patients with chronic pancreatitis, so an acute injury may not cause much increase in serum amylase.

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, what you have described is not a cause for concern. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

why do different labs set different limits for the high limit of amylase (some 100, some 110 others 140) ? my recent amylase level is 140. but the high limit of the lab i used is 110ul making my level high. but if another lab did it, id be normal?

: No, you can't make that assumption because there is no standardization about normal amylase level among the laboratories so each lab has its own normal range. Your result has to be interpreted by the lab where the test is done. However, you should not concern much about an amylase level of 140 though because this abnormal result alone does not have much meaning. Take care.

Pancreatic mass: I would suggest you see a gastroenterologist who can perform an ultrasound guided endoscopic FNA (fine needle aspirate) of this mass.  You will not have peace of mind until you get a diagnosis.  Once you get a diagnosis you can make and educated decision on treatment.

Why do you ask?: Amylase kay be very high without being a problem because of a harmless variant called macroamylasemia. The ratio is useful only to explain other abnormals is obvious disease. Same is basically true if the gap. If you feel well, slightly high direct bilirubin may be meds or a minir metabolic glitch. Your physician is your best guide.

Depends: The normal range is 23 to 85 units per liter (u/l). Some laboratories give a range of 40 to 140 u/l. Pancreatitis also affects lipase level.Was this elevated?Ct and ultrasound may not detect mild changes in pancreas.Risk factors of pancreatitis include gallstone disease and heavy alcohol consumption.Elevation of amylase causes
aspirin, birth control pills, cholecystitis, gall stones, panc. Cancer.

Likely: There can be other causes of increased amylase but if it is due to the bulimia it should return to normal after the purging has stopped.

Need more info: Elevated amylase levels are usually due to inflammation of the pancreas which is generally associated with considerable pain. What is you amylase level? How long has been elevated? What other symptoms do you have? Do you drink alcohol? Do you have gall stones? It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation.
