How do i lower amylase level?

Need more info: Elevated amylase levels are usually due to inflammation of the pancreas which is generally associated with considerable pain. What is you amylase level? How long has been elevated? What other symptoms do you have? Do you drink alcohol? Do you have gall stones? It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation.

You don't: Amylase is an enzyme made by the salivary glands, pancreas and intestine and excreted into the gut to facilitate breakdown of starch into sugars. The blood amylase level is a balance between synthesis/release of amylase and degradation/elimination of amylase. In certain conditions, amylase escapes into the blood, raising levels. It is excreted by kidney so elevation can be seen in kidney disease
