i have multiple bug bites from over a week ago. reddish, 2-3 inches in diameter. not itchy, no other symptoms. 
i have another bite that i did not scratch and it went away. i was wondering if i made it worse by scratching. ?

Avoid scratching: In order to help your bites heal I would avoid scratching. Your nails are dirty as well and puts you at risk for skin infection. Take OTC antihistamines to help with itch symptoms if applicable and apply OTC hydrocortisone cream to areas that are affected to reduce symptoms. See primary doctor if bites look infected.

Without being able: to examine you and see the actual lesions in question it is impossible to suggest what may be wrong or if this is a normal healing process. It would be best to see a health care professional for evaluation if it is concerning you.

got a couple of bug bites on the thigh a month ago. took a week to go away. suddenly came back in exactly the same place. what causes this?

Staph infection: It is most likely not a bug bite if it is recurrent. There is a world wide epidemic of hard to treat staph skin infections. I would hope you could get in to see your family doctor soon to get eyes on the spots that are bothering you.

i went to cozumel a year ago. i got two bug bites. i treated them with stroid creme arfter weeks of itching. the bites have started raising up again.

Might not be bites: It is possible that these were a type of eczema or another skin reaction.  It would be unlikely for the same area to become irritated from a bite over a year ago.  Would see your primary doc and see what they think.

Could be the bug: or otherwise, something you are allergic to, or urticaria, you can try an antihistaminic OTC, but be careful if driving or operating machinery, and see your doctor if no improvement, you might need prescription medications

Delayed Reactions: Delayed insect bite allergic reactions lasting a few weeks are not uncommon. Other entities however need to excluded including drug allergy, autoimmune disease, infectious diseases and other entities.

Rash: Could be bed bugs if they are not there before bed and you wake up with them. Or more than likely it is hives. You really should see a doctor about this.

Be rechecked: If there has been an unexpected change be rechecked. They may be infected. All the best.

It's time.: Three weeks seems a bit too long to still have anything more than some minor residual pain. Apparently, the tenderness is increasing, which could be a problem. I suggest you have his foot evaluated by a specialist just to play safe.

i have itchy bumps for 5 weeks ...i don't know what it is. i don't have diabetes, i've had shingles a year ago...not sure if its scabies or bug bites.

Many possibilities: These bumps could be anything including scabies, bed bugs, bug bites, fleas, etc. A picture or description of their pattern would help. I have practice in anaheim and laguna niguel. Call my office at 949-360-4400 and i would gladly help identify this condition for you. In the meantime, try otc cortisone and/or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to help control the itch.
