my daughter has small clusters of what looks lk bug bites on her left leg, hip, & below her navel. she hasn't been outside. they itch & are spreading. what could it be & should i take her to urgent cr?

Children's hospital: You can go to urgent care.  But many times there diagnosis is less accurate than at a children's hospital.  Kids are not small adults after all.

Rash: The physical examination performed by an evaluating physician is critical for diagnosis of rashes. Questions about the cause of a rash cannot typically be answered unless the rash description involves great details.

i have random patches of little flat hives only on my stomach, a couple on the hips, not itchy. not bug bites, salmon colored, 2 months no improvement?

Hives ?: Two months of a rash, which looks like hives to you needs to be evaluated. Hives usually do itch as they are a histamine response and are not typically always in the same place.  This sounds more like flat warts.  In any case exam and evaluation by your primary physician or a Dermatologist is needed.

Bites: These could be bites...Do the lesions come and go?  If so, hives are possible.  Bites can be any type including flea bites (do you have pets)to bed bug bites.

i've found a few little red marks around my abdomen and hips that are raised and only itch occasionally. i found another one today, but just one. i suspect either contact dermatitis or insect bites. what do you think?

: Insect bites will present like a pimples (circular pattern initially) and if you look at them closely you can see the puncture points. Red marks by contact dermatitis can occur at different shapes which depend where your body are in contact with the source of allergen. Without an image and with the history, I would incline to dermatitis in your case which can be caused by new underwear or soap.

i have 3 swollen lymph nodes in my left groin for 5 days as well as strain in hip/ groin from 6 mile walk 3 days ago. also have 3 insect bites on same leg within last week.

Common: Those lymph nodes screen out the serum contributed by events from that leg or nearby skin. Bug bites could easily increase their size from resting to enlarged. The cycle lasts about 3-4 wks before they shrink back. If they develop nearby redness or continue to swell they may have true infection &amp; need treatment. The strain would have nothing to do with it.

is windex good for bug bites?

Unsure: If you were in the cast of the "Big Fat Greek Wedding", the answer would be yes. I do not see any therapeutic effect from it but it may soothe the itching a little. For itchy lesions, hydrocortisone cream works better. For sores, you may need an antibiotic.  Some bites (black widow, brown recluse spiders) often require medical attention.

Difficult to say: It is hard to say without knowing what the rash looks like and how and where the bites have occurred.

are stink bug bites harmful to toddlers?

Yes: It can be cured easily with steroid cream otherwise it can cause abscesses after scratching.
