Does it itch?: It could still be a bug bite. Certain flies like the deer fly and others can leave a pretty good welt that can linger for weeks. If it becomes painful, warm to touch or develops fluid in it then it is time to get it looked at to ensure no infection.

Likely reactive: Lymphadenopathy or a lymph node that is swelling in response to the bite. As long as it remains small, less than an inch and is mobile and starts to resolve with time, it will be fine. If not, let your doctor take a look. All the best.

Bug Bite Lump: It probably is a lumpy scar called Keloid or a benign skin tumor called Dermatofibroma. Cysts in general are soft and compressible. See a Dermatologist. It can be easily taken care of.

Question?: I don't know what the question is.  If the bite site is improving and the pain is gone, perhaps there is nothing to be concerned over.  However if you live in  an area with Lyme disease, you may want to get tested. See doctor if not improving or getting worse.

This enables the mosquito to leisurely "sip" your blood until she is full. The body reacts to the "vomit" by often itching or turning red--even transforming into firm bump or granuloma.  May last for months.
