Rule out ... : I want to be very sure this is not gas gangrene or one of the flesh-eating staph or strep. I did not examine you so i cannot tell, but these may give a normal blood count. Return at once if you seem to be getting worse.

i've noticed lately that my legs have been bruising without an injury and tonight i noticed 5 small bruises on my upper left thigh. is this normal?

You need to get: to a healthcare provider to check some blood tests, including platelet function studies and coagulation studies.  If you are taking aspirin or some other platelet medicine, then that would explain your bruising.  Certain vitamin deficiencies including vitamin K can cause bruising. We need the count nu: You need to share the actual report with us. Just saying "High white count' does not help. Send us the actual report of the numbers including Hemoglobin, WBC count, differential count(neutrophils / lymphocyctes) and the platelet count. Then we can give you further advice.

Bruises: Unnoticed trauma, low platelets or bleeding disorders, blood thinner meds, extremely high blood pressure, etc.

Bruise: If one forms a hematoma or area of bleeding deeper under the skin it could take a few days for the bruising to show up on the surface of the skin.

Get an U/S: An ultrasound will determine if you have a clot.  It sounds like you had blood underneath your skin, but that should have resolved sooner than 4 months!

: Narcissists are self focused &amp; it is easy for them to be threatened when the focus is turned to others.  Self focus is often accompanied by pride &amp; pride when threatened leads to fear which leads to insecurity which often leads to anger.  It is hard when anger is directed @ you, but seek not to take it personally &amp; seek to be kind &amp; make peace when possible &amp; the rest is up to them.

Ecchymoses: Unexplained subcutaneous bleeding should merit a rapid trip to the doctor for evaluation.  Spontaneous bleeding of that nature can turn out to be benign, but a full assessment of each individual patient is warranted under these circumstances.  Good luck.
