hi i'm 17 and three days ago i felt like a bruise on the side of my right thigh but i don't see any bruise and when i touch it it hurts should i worry?

Invisible bruise: most likely its a deep bruise that has just not surfaced. Sometimes these bruises will simply turn green or very light yellow color. I wold not be concerned unless it becomes increasingly painful or changes to a lump or grows

Thigh pain: More details are needed to come to a conclusion.  Some thoughts. The thigh muscles contract via a connection with a nerve. If that nerve is partially inflamed as it leaves the back you have muscle pain. Is it possible you overused the muscle and have a strain?

Yes: Pain is always a sign that something is amiss. The description is not specific to a single cause. One must consider what travels in and through that area. There are muscles,bone,  blood vessels, a connection through the groin to an area where hernias can occur. With no history of trauma or bruising I would want to examine the site &amp; possibly do an ultrasound to search for a cause.

Thigh: It may be a bruise or calcification in your muscle. If it persists see your doctor and have it imaged. An Ultrasound would be a good start. All the best.

Inactivity plus : thigh pain is "suggestive " of throbophlbitis, phlebitis or venous irritation. I suggest a visit/exam and venous doppler study of your lower extremities ASAP. Do not ignore these symptoms.

Purple bump: May be brusie or erythema nodosum  a reactive immune process seen in autoimmune conditions  or even in strep. Usually in erythema nodosum you have more than one lesion

May also  be bite , dermatofibroma,  rarely Kaposis but they do not  hurt usually . F/u/ w/ doc

i got a knee to the thigh which caused bruising. a couple of days later i felt some discomfort on the side of my knee. is this cause of the bruising.

Probably not.: Sounds like the pain is in a different area - thigh versus knee - makes me think of a meniscal injury or tear   If this persists you might need an MRI of that knee.

Hard to say: It is difficult to say without being able to see  you in person.  A musculoskeletal etiology could certainly be the cause as could any organs in the stomach.  In certain cases, a hernia can present with the pain you describe.

See physician: Quite a number of reasons for easy bruising. Will require physician input and laboratory.
