Yes: Certain insects, when they sting or bite, actually inject an anticoagulant material into the area so the blood flows to them more easily. This can lead to leaving a bruise in the area after the bite/sting. Best thing is cold compress or even ice pack initially, then after a few days switch to warm packs to help bruise resolve.

No: Give it a few weeks, avoid any bandages, keep lubricated with aquaphore or vaseline, and avoid any antiseptics or antibiotics.

Pain: Two nerves travel from your eye sockets to the top of your head:  supratrochlear nerve and suprorbital nerve.  Likely one of these nerves got some damage. That is a neuropraxia which is common from blunt trauma. The nerve sheath takes some time to repair,
and that can cause some persistent pain.

i fainted in the shower, not sure if i hit my head but there are no bruises/bumps, i have a very bad headache/dizzy though that has lasted about 2 hrs?

Head trauma: If you fainted in the shower - you definitely hit your head especially if you woke up and were on the floor of the shower. THis is treated as a potential head injury. You should go to the hospital or your PMD and have yourself checked out.

Good Question: Procedures that were performed our presume that CAT scan in them or I would've picked up a blame brain bleed. While there is reports of a delay bring a lead within 24 to 48 hours this would be unusual. A careful history with attention to changes in cognitive status would be helpful and will determine whether a further evaluation is needed. Good luck ismy wishes.

HEMATOMA, ? INFECTED: YOU PROBABLY HAVE A HEMATOMA WHICH MAY HAVE GOTTEN INFECTED, GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR AN EXAM AND POSSIBLE ANTIBIOTICS.

Several cues: The kid who is not knocked out, disoriented or confused @ the time of the injury is probably fine. Confusion or repeated episodes of vomiting in the hours after trauma deserve a look over by the dr.Kids under 8 can be allowed to nap on their regular schedule, with you checking in on occasion.Cold compresses can reduce the swelling, if the kid will let you.
