Check with your doc: Any discharge during pregnancy needs to be run by your doctor.  Sometimes after intercourse, you can have a small amount of bleeding or discharge, but even that needs to be reviewed by your doctor.

Not normal: Please call your OB as you may have a vaginal infection, but u need to make sure your cervix is not starting to open or nothing bad is going on with the placenta your OB can do an exam and an ultrasound and vaginal cultures.

Early labor signal?: Old blood appears brownish. Did your OB examine you recently? Did you have intercourse? Is it still there, more profuse, reddish? Are you having contractions, pressure or pain in the pelvis? These are some questions you will be asked by your OB or his associate. Discharge can herald labor. A third trimester baby can have risks if born before term. So most obs would want to evaluate or speak to you.

Late 3rd TM ?'s: In the late third TM, a brown discharge probably represents  the fetus "dropping" lower in the birth canal, which opens the upper cervical canal, leading to a little bleeding (brown discharge).  See your OB physician to see if your membranes are ruptured, producing the water discharge.

Most likely no: Given the negative test you are most likely not pregnant.  But you can retest in 1 week to be certain.

Maybe: There is always a chance. There is still sperm  coming out of the penis without ejaculation. But since you had a period the day after it is not as likely. Brown discharge could be old blood. Take a test to be sure!

Trust the test : If your home pregnancy tests are consistently negative then  you are not pregnant. Brown discharge is likely your period. Brown equals old blood. The next step would be to see your doctor to discuss your irregular menstrual cycles and to discuss options for menstrual cycle control.

Yes: If you experience vaginal discharge during the second trimester, this may be normal.  It is possible that your discharge can be an infection such as a yeast or bacterial vaginosis infection. More concerning though, the discharge can also represent leakage of amniotic fluid that is surrounding your baby. Always check with your doctor if you think you are having vaginal discharge.

Not during prenancy: Aside from bacteria from the anus contaminating the perineum and invading the vagina which puts the fetus at risk. There is also the risk of physical injury to the anal sphincter and fetus.
