Not necessarily: The brown discharge is older, deoxygenated blood. The first year or so, periods can be irregular. This may resolve at some point.

Depends: If you are breastfeeding it is probably not your period.  If you are not breastfeeding and did not breastfeed at all then it could very well be your period.

Brown Discharge: this is old blood being expelled from your uterus. As long as it is not foul smelling, you are not having pain or a fever it is not worrisome.  If these are occurring see your OB or FP

It is hard to say: It is hard to determine what is going on without knowing your cycle and more of your history.  It is not uncommon, however to have a couple of months of abnormal bleeding or breakthrough bleeding following a miscarriage.   Take necessary precautions during this time if you are trying to prevent pregnancy for awhile.  You have said nothing to indicate you cannot become pregnant during this time.

Brown discharge: Normal vaginal mucus is clear. Brownish discharge is often due to secretion of old debris, like old blood breakdown products or leftover  uterine tissue fragments.  If this persists, however,I would consult a gynecologist for evaluation and advice.

See your doctor: Brown discharge is typically light bleeding.  Irregular bleeding/brown discharge is common in the first 3 months of birth control pills, and can also occur if you miss pills.  But, there are lots of causes of such brown discharge/bleeding, including pregnancy, stds, other infections, polyps, or fibroids.  You should see your doctor to be sure.

No and yes: There are differences of opinion, but I usually count the 1st day of normal menstrual flow as the 1st day of a menstrual cycle.

Gynecologist: Skipping or irregularity of menstrual periods is not unusual in young women. A gynecologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you as to the cause and management of irregular periods and whether there is any possible pathological condition present.

Ans: Most likely just old blood. Uterine wall not fully shredded.  Always good idea to check preg test if sexually active and you are young

Pregnancy test?: In any woman with an unusual period (shorter and more unusual) the first thing that you must rule out is pregnancy.  If that is negative, then discussing this further with your ob/gyn is warranted.  It might not be a period at all.  Abnormal bleeding has many causes including absent / irregular ovulation or anatomic changes.
