Probably not: If your Pap tests and cervical screenings are normal, there is little cause for alarm and probably no need to do anything. There is a very high likelihood that that you may have some vey benign conditions like "Nabothian follicles or Nabothian cysts" which will usually resolve spontaneously or a benign cervical polyp which is also likely to disappear on its own.

Yes it could be a : uterine polyp, 
also could be from hormone shift at ovulation causing mild cervical bleeding.

Normal after exam: It is normal after a cervical check to have some bleeding.it shouldn't hurt. If the bleeding doesn't stop within a day or if it worsens, you should call your OB.

If smear test was : Recently, then the brown discharge could be some old blood from the pap and exam. Keep an eye on it. Follow up with your doctor regarding your 6 month pap result, and discuss any persistent problems, such as discharge/bleeding with him/her. Good luck!

Knocked loose clot: The biopsy site can bleed if you have sex too soon after the procedure. Frequently the bleeding can cause changes in bacteria in the the vagina resulting in bacterial vaginosis. This condition can resolve spontaneously, but if it persists or worsens you should see your gynecologist.

41y/o female here. i have endometrial polyps and im scheduled to have them removed. is it normal to suddenly have brown discharge and a period lasting for about a week? ive had the polyps for a few months but they never caused this issue before?

: Changes in the polyp may be responsible for the irregularity in bleeding. It is good that you are scheduled to have the lesions removed. You may wish to take oral iron and multivitamins to prevent anemia from blood loss.

Depends: If the polyp is stable and not bleeding I would monitor it and remove it after pregnancy. Removing the polyp carries some risk of bleeding and uterine irritability which can lead to a miscarriage. However, if you are having ongoing bleeding then the benefits of removing it may justifies the risk.

Beeding : Cervical polyps cause irregular bleeding but not much else. 2 months seems like a long time to wait for something as easy as a poly removal. Unless it is really big most can be removed in the office in seconds. Don't be afraid to ask for an earlier appointment.

Should not be: IF your pap is not for three months then no effect should be present at this time from a polyp removal now
