Doctors usually treat giardiasis with Metronidazole /flagyl.

If : If it was a door i would tell you to use some wd40. Lol! but since it is your knee i will tell you not to worry about it at this time. Pain is the main indicator to do something. Other important indicators are locking, giving way, and falling due to the knee giving way. Absent any of these, just carry on with your life. You may be developing some arthritis like the rest of mankind.

Ya feel lucky? Do Ya: Well, if your cut is not bleeding much and is not very deep, then you are probably not seeing fat. This could be the best thing going for you. Clean it well with soap and water, apply a topical antibiotic and cover it with an appropriate bandage. Keep an eye on it for the next couple of days. If you see signs of redness with pain, you need to have it treated by a doctor.

If capable, clean the wound with soap and water being careful to clear the wound of all debris. Apply a antibiotic ointment and sterile compression dressing. You need to check with you physician to determine when you last tetanus booster was. A dose of antibiotics may also be in order.

If there is back pain as well consider obtaining a MRI of the ls spine to evaluate further.  If not, focus on stretching and physical therapy.

Lymphadenopathy: Swollen glands are not an indication for antibiotics absent a full assessment of the cause. If you have stiffness or pain in your neck go and get a doctor to examine you if you think it is severe enough, but diagnosing this over the internet without an exam and full history is not possible. : Staph (some of which are MRSA) are everywhere in the environment. Some benign forms can be found on newborns within hours of birth from random contact by others. We find is on surfaces people &amp; animals come in contact with. A break in the skin allows an aggressive form to trigger a cellulitis or abscess. Having the kid sanitize or wash his hands more will do more than washing bedding endlessly.
