Possible: Usually bronchitis is associated with other symptoms. It's hard to have it without cough, malaise, fatigue, occasionally low grade fever. What are your symptoms?

i have wheezing and no cough. what could be the cause. had a chest x-ray in june was clear for cancer and told i had bronchitis but i no cough.

Other conditions: Asthma, reflux, and allergies can all cause those symptoms and would not show up on a chest X-ray.

You: Can have an upper respiratory infection. Without having a cough.  Complete the treatment course they recommend.

That is unusual: The hallmark of acute bronchitis is coughing and so if no cough, i would not call it bronchitis. Maybe u were coughing before and the cough medicine is suppressing your cough? Some medicines can induce loss of appetite, including cough medicines.If no cough from start, i would question the diagnosis. As with your lack of appetite, i can't tell why due to limited info. Nope: Chronic bronchitis is a type of copd, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. By definition, chronic bronchitis is primarily characterized by a persistently productive cough. Therefore, if you don't have a cough, the diagnosis of "chronic bronchitis" should be questioned.

Unlikely: This implies a psychologic component for the breathlessness. Perhaps you have an anxiety problem which is helped by sharing time with your friends. Counseling may be beneficial.

Humidity: You certainly can feel anxious when it likely hurts as you are breathing. First , make a conscious effort to breathe slowly, as rapid breathing dries out your bronchi even more. Then, humidity, humidity..... I can't say it enough. Stand in the shower, boil ater on your stove, run a humidifier, visit the jungle. And absolutely avoid respiratory irritants - smoke, strong odors, dust, ozone...

Sounds like bettter: Acute bronchitis can be viral or bacterial. If thought to be bacterial and antibiotics are given, the mucus will change from green to yellow/white. Chest pt (someone pounds on your back gently to not hurt you but repeatedly& firmly) can help break up the remaining mucus in addition to the mist of a hot shower & guaifenesin.

It could always : be something else but why do you think a blood clot?  A blood clot at your age especially, would be very very unusual. Your doctor thought bronchitis based on your history and physical exam.  He or she is the best to determine that.
