Won't fit properly: If the splint was made to your malocclusion, trying to force it back into your mouth after the "bad bite" was corrected would destabilize the Orthodontic treatment result.  Please consult with BOTH your Dentist and your Orthodontic Specialist.  An attempt to save a few dollars can prove to be extremely costly.

Invisalign: Did you know there are orthodontic devices that also serve as temporary bite splints?  There are 2 companies that are most notable: Invisalign  and Clear Correct.  Look into these and see if this would work for you.

what are other splints/braces to wear besides an elbow splint when experiencing cubital tunnel syndrome?

Nothing really...: Cubital tunnel is a problem of the ulnar nerve at the elbow. The only splint that makes sense is an elbow splint/brace. The goal of the brsce is to prevent extreme flexion of the elbow which causes pressure on the nerve.

my ortho diagnosed me with chronic unstable ankle (+ anterior drawer, - mri tear).  said to wear brace daily. is lace brace or hard splint better?

Lace brace is more-: -comfortable, but less protective. On the other hand a stiff Arizona ankle brace is more limiting so less pain but hot &amp; you need a really good prosthetics guy to fit you. It also depends on your needs &amp; activity level.

Hand surgeon: If I were you I would see a hand specialist. That does not mean an operation will immediately be recommended.First, you need proper diagnosis,possibly nerve conduction study,possibly steroid injection in hand,physiotherapy,splint.... Please make an appointment with a hand specialist.Best wishes.

which support to use for navicular fracture rt foot (type of splint or brace)?

Fracture : Usually a fracture in the midfoot where the navicular is requires a non-weight bearing cast to be worn for 6 weeks. It takes 6 weeks for fractured bone to heal. If your podiatrist sees on x-rays that the fracture is actually through the joint, surgery maybe the best option. But after surgery another cast may be necessary.  Orthotics in the future may be a good idea to support the navicular.

erbs palsy since birth. 22 now. loosing motion in hand slowly, arm locking up more, numbness more. more pain. what do i do!? splint/brace? surgery?

Never too late: Erb's affects the upper brachial plexus, and your hand involves lower plexus, so this is new superimposed on the prior.  The symptoms raise concern that a complex regional pain syndrome may be evolving, and this needs to be addressed asap.  The therapy can wait, as the diagnosis must precede.  Believe, your best bet is to see a physiatrist initially and perhaps other specialists later.

i have a hairline fracture on the elbow. should i get a splint at the doctor's office or is a brace that immobilizes the elbow just as fine?

Doctors Splint: Splints provided by your doctor are usually specifically made for proper anatomical immobilization.  When healing a fracture site it is important to maintain the proper immobilization position, as well as proper immobilization of any other joints that have an effect on fractured joint, such as the wrist.  This is the advantage to having it done in your doctor's office.
