Call office: Best to get an appointment with a specific doc is finding with a search engine their office phone number and/or appointment site and book a spot directly with their office.

Wrong place to do it: On this site Doctors answer general questions about health. We do not see anyone in person or order blood tests or make appointments. You should find a Family Doctor or Internal Medicine specialist and make an appointment and that Dr. will assess you, determine what blood tests are appropriate, order them and tell you where to get them, then discuss the results with you.

: Is the individual with whom you had sex HIV positive?  Would see a health care professional within 72 hours to discuss whether PEP vs PrEP is best for you .

my brother was tested positive for covid 19, my company said i could book an appointment for a test but i'm not sure if i can do it that way. to my understanding i first need to see my gp, is this true?

COVID 19: In South Africa- one consults with a medical provider who will determine need for COVID 19 testing.  Consult your local primary care provider or you can use telemedicine for individual consultations. There are a number of free apps you can use to look at your risk.  Contact doctor first.

i'm traveling and my 2 year old has a fever, won't eat and has been in and out of sleep since early hours of this morning. i've been trying to book an appointment at our destination and all doctors are closed today. what can i do in the meantime?

Focus on fluids: As long as he can take in enough fluids to pee every 6 hrs you may be able to monitor this longer. Ibuprofen may assist with the fever. If his condition really spooks you find an urgent care facility.

i pee out of my vagina. where my period blood comes from. i always have. nobody believes me i have booked an appointment with a gynecologist haven't mentioned the reason i feel so stupid but i thought it was normal 100%sure it's always been likethis?

: I am glad that you have booked a GYN MD appointment for this problem as it is not a "stupid" reason for doing so. There is a condition called a congenital malformation (fistula) where there is an abnormal opening between the urethra/bladder and the vagina. Please give details to your MD visit for the appropriate testing needed.

i booked an appointment to get a tatoo done and i was wondering, woukd it be safe? as i have uncontrolled graves' disease.

Tatoo and Grave's: Graves' disease is an immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones (hyperthyroidism). Nothing, including getting a tatoo, is safe if you have uncontrolled grave's disease. You need to seek help from an endocrinologist to get it under control before you wind up terribly ill. Good luck.
