Very unlikely: positive bone scan does not mean cancer
any recent activity in the bone from recent healing,to a inflammation,to possible infection will cause hot spot on bone scan
papillary thyroid cancer is not known to be super aggressive and the chance of metastases to the bone is super rare.
check with your doctor most likely it will be something simple

extreme neck pain after getting massage done. 2 weeks have gone by with neck pain and bone scan shows nothing but i'm concerned on why it's taking so long for my neck to heal, is something damaged-i've never experienced this kind of pain?

have headaches everyday accompanied by neck pain. it gradually comes on throughout the day and if i go and take a nap, it wont bother me anymore for the day. 6 mri all clean, nuclear bone scan clean. what could it be? is this a posture issue?

Talus fracture: Ultimate outcome will depend upon many factors. Each fracture has its own personality based on fracture displacement, joint involvement, blood supply, soft tissue involvement, any avn, host immune system and health, amount of energy of original injury, etc. Nondisplaced fractures likely will have the best outcome with possibly no sequellae.

is an emg test necessary if the mri shows c4, c5 and c6 nerves pinched. have c4, c5 and c6 ruptured disc in neck with c4 c5 and c6 pinched nerves on right side and c6 nerve pinched on left side.  have had bone scan, and ct and now doctor is wanting emg.

Not : Not all disk herniations cause pain.  Emg is helpful to determine which disks and nerves are symptomatic.   This information may help determine the disks operated on.  Therefore, EMG is often necessary because it may give important information.  Good luck!

Nerve and tendon are: considered soft tissue, as is muscle, veins etc. Anything not bone. Bone scan is helpful to see evidence of abnormal permeability due to infection, inflammation or tumor. The surgeon has advised you to do what? Go to PT and take tylenol (acetaminophen)? You have pain 3-4 months after surgery which is not uncommon. If the problem persists another month I would say see a neurologist or a PMR MD. (or DO)

DEXA scores: You should not have to convert t scores to z scores when you receive your DEXA results, which report your bone density.  They are statistical terms that tell you where your one density is relative to age-matchednnormal data. Both values are given with the result.

No -Nonspecific: Called "false positives" when this is the case.  Can be in joints (common); prior fractures; benign bony abnormalities. Next step may be mri, plain x-rays or biopsy t better characterize or define cause.
