these days, certain doctors and professors state that tongue thrusting can lead to undesirable facial bone remodelling in adults. i tongue thrusted very hard downwards five times when swallowing drink, will this have caused any downward growth?

One time event ?: If you did this one time only -- no chance of a problem.  If it is a frequently recurring habit, then you might have a problem over time. Most likely you will not alter your facial bones as such, but rather your alveolar processes supporting your teeth resulting in tooth movement which will change your facial appearance. See the Orthodontist for help if this is a habit. Good Luck.

on bottom inside jaw i have s bone growth sticking up under bottom of  the gums its pretty big and feel it with my tougnue why? it looks to be like a bone on bottom jaw sticking out atleast 3in up touching my bottom of tongue seems to be growing what can

From : From your description, it sounds like it could be an "exostosis", a bony outgrowth.

You should see an oral surgeon to determine if that is what it is. A differential diagnosis cannot be given over the internet, sight onseen.

Mandibular torus?: This could be what we call a mandibular torus, which is merely some excess bone and benign. This can be asymmetric and why you only have it on one side. However, without actually seeing you, we can't be sure, so please have your dentist take a look at it just to be on the safe side.

Neither: No bone or cartilage in tongue. The hyoid bone is below the tongue, and some of the muscles to the tongue attach to this bone.

Urgent matter: Likely.  Depends of depth of the bone, but this is an urgent matter as infections in the throat can travel quickly and become serious.  Imaging may be required to visualize location of the bone before it can be removed (which the dentist may not be set up to do).
