BMI: Congratulation for the 30-40 lb weight loss. Now you can continue to loose weight at a slower rate by diet and exercise. If you can afford it see a trainer in your vicinity.

i weigh 188-190 pounds. bmi 29.4 something around that. i have to take plan b, but im reading that its not effective at all for those who weigh more than 155-165. is that true? i cant get anything else right now?

: I would go to Drugs.com or Plan Bs web site and review their data.  Do they mean NOT effective or just less effective.  Many meds need to be adjusted to body size. Any yours may require more than someone who weights 100 lbs.

YOUR BMI is normal: Your bmi is 19-20 and that is normal. You should be able to carry a baby. Most women gain weight during pregnancy anyway so you should be ok. Being healthy when you conceive is more important than bmi as a single indicator.

Diet and exercise: You need to reduce your intake of food and increase physical activity. Losing weight becomes harder with increasing age due to slow down in metabolic rate. It may help to join a support group like weight watchers.

This : This totally depends on your health insurance and your overall health status.  It is indicatedfrom a medical standpoint unless you have some contra-indication.  It is particularly beneficialif you have a health problem caused by obesity.  Many health insurance companies would coverthis procedure, while some companies will not.  This is primarily based on whether your policy allowsfor bariatric surgery and if your health insurance allows the sleeve procedure for weight loss.You can find out by calling your health insurance company and asking if this is a covered benefiton your policy.  If they say no, then there is an exclusion and few options for you.  If they sayyes or "if medically necessary", then you can go forward and see a bariatric surgeon to determineif the procedure may be right for you and if it can be determined to be medically necessary.
