Blood thinners: Blood thinners are used around the time of procedure & after (usually at least 1 month) to prevent stroke.

hi there. ive gone to see a gynae and did all the blood tests to confirm that i suffer from candida. ive been given a  diffluzole tablet and betadine vaginal ointment. the problem still persists and i find the ointment burns and i have burn/itch?

Vaginal yeast: Confusing story. There is no blood test for candida. If you have it, fluconazole (Diffluzole is one brand) will cure it, but betadine doesn't help. Perhaps you're now having a reaction to the betadine, which is common. Stop using it and re-check with your doctor or clinc -- or maybe ind a new one. Good luck.

urine culture came back negative but the dip stick test was positive for red blood cells.  doesnt burn while i pee but continually burns after i pee.  also have low back pain mid to left side of back.  what can cause this if not uti? cancer?

Work up: Will be needed. You experience dysuria or burning after urination and your dipstick was abnormal. Back pain is also of concern and imaging should substantiate structural changes. There are many other benign causes for your symptoms, including stones or cysts, cancer cannot be ruled out yet. Stick with your doc, who may consult an urologist, if needed.

Blood in urine: Blood in the urine is not normal and needs evaluation. The burning you describe suggests infection or local tissue inflammation. Please see a health care provider for evaluation.

Cool compresses: Apply cool compresses to the area a few times per day. If it continues to enlarge, you can pop the blister with a sterile needle, but do not remove the blister skin as it acts like a dressing and protects the skin below it.

Why do you ask?: The CRP is neither sensitive nor specific for much of anything. It is one tiny piece of information and by itself means nothing. It is often high for no reason to reason. A burn does not involve the macrophage system that usually activates CRP and I would not expect a rise.
