my husband is suffering from nose bleed since a month. when he wakes up in the morning he finds dry particles of blood in the nose.

May be from dryness: It can be due to dryness if you have the room heated while asleep without any humidity.You can try room or central humidifier and/or saline(salt water)drops at night time  and day time in both nostril.Along with that you may need a decongestant if there is no relief consult your family doctor or an ENT specialist

recent sinus infection caused blood in the nose and phlegm. was prescribed doxycycline blood stopped but then reappeared. do i need more meds?

Bloody nose: The blood is due to the erosion of small blood vessels in your nose because if the mucus. It may be dry in your house so using a humidifer or vaporizer can be helpful. Also purchase saline gel and moisturize your nostrils with the gel several times a day

what causes popped blood vessels in the nose? could me being vegetarian cause the two nose bleeds i had?

I believe: ....In my humble opinion there is no correlation between vein in the nose, bleeding and being a vegetarian.
Check your BP and see an ENT specialist who will cauterize the bleeding points. In case you bleed plug up the nostrils with gauze or cotton and apply pressure from outside with two fingers.

i have chronic non allergic rhinitis, my nose feels constantly congested. do angiotensin receptor blockers make this congestion worse? rhinitis is listed as a side effect, not sure if that's because of dilation of blood vessels in the nose?

: Nasal congestion is a possible side effect of ARB but each individual ARB has its own side effect, not do all ARBs have the same side effect. So the best way to find out is to ask your doctor for a different ARB as a trial.

Pressure: Could be pressure like when you blue your nose. Could be from drinking alcohol so I hope you do not do that. Monitor what you are doing to cause the issue

Nose bleed??: If he doesn't have a runny nose or nasal congestion, then why does he have mucous in his nose?  The blood vessels on the nasal septum or very fragile, and only minor trauma can cause bleeding.  If he is feeling well, no need to get an evaluation, but it may help to put small amount of antibiotic ointment just inside the nares for a few days.

Depends: Bloody noses are not uncommon in cold weather and dry air, with trauma such as picking, with upper respiratory infections and with allergic rhinitis. Try some petroleum jelly in your nostrils twice a day as this may help. However, it is important to note: on which side do they originate, how long do you bleed, how easily do you clot, in what circumstances are they occurring. Good to check with doc

The nasal tissue cracks and bleeds easily. Treatment includes humidification of the air, and nasal moisturizing with a variety of otc nasal saline gels or mist spray.  It's not a major health hazard, but should see md.
