The : The fact that your ophthalmologist has been able to help you regain your vision says a lot about his skill.  He knows your anatomy and the area of the occlusion in the eye so he is the correct person to ask these questions to.  Indeed, prior to some of the "miracle"  drugs that we have available today, people with your problem rarely gained much eyesight back.

Stop pushing: The ophthalmic artery is the first branch of the internal carotid artery. If you press just to the outside of the windpipe, where you feel a pulse, you are pushing on your carotid artery. This also supplies blood to the brain, and if you press on a certain spot your heart rate and blood pressure may suddenly drop. So, you are probably obstructing blood flow to the eye. Not a good thing.

hi,i got punched on the cheek bone less than 24hours ago, eye is bruised badly, there is no blood in the eye it however is swollen and is blue mixed with red, please assist with reducing swelling and getting the colour lighter, thank you in advance.

Need more info: Why were you punched? If you are suffering from domestic abuse, you need to report it to police. If it was accidental you can leave it alone and it will resolve. After 24 hours you may use warm compresses to increase blood flow to the area and facilitate resolution.

No: Typically a sub-conjunctival hemorrhage happens without cause. It can be caused by straining (coughing, heavy lifting, etc.), high blood pressure, or blood thinners.

Yes: It will not harm your eye to wear a contact lens when a subconjunctival hemorrhage is present.
