Probably Not: The major risk of venous blood clots is that they can travel to the lungs as a pulmonary embolus, which can be deadly. This is the main reason clots need to be treated. Rarely, if a person has a common heart defect or a rare artery clot, clots can lead to stroke. Heart attacks with blood clots would almost always be related to pulmonary emboli, rather than the clot itself.

: The reason why aspirin is given to someone having a heart attack is to prevent the platelets from sticking together, forming a blockage. The blockage in the heart blood vessels is caused by a lipid plaque rupturing and then the platelets collect at the site and form a clot. Aspirin helps to prevent this which keeps the blood flowing to the heart muscle. A one time dose of 325mg would be ok.

CAD: You have coronary artery disease if you are not on diet, exercise and polydrug program your chances of another event are good. If you are on a good program of not smoking, and the above reaching blood pressure targets and exercise and LDL 80mg/dl or less along with Aspirin and maybe plavix, (clopidogrel) you are doing what you can to prevent another event.

Thrombosis: Detecting a developing blood clot is a challenging problem in the early stages. Pain and swelling are pretty good symptoms once it is developed. The relation to your chest pain is still uncertain. You could have been showering small emboli to your lungs, even with a value of 500 (which is likely below the threshold for your lab.) Further radiologic study (leg US, etc) may help clarify things.

how likely is it that provera 10mg twice a day for 7 days, will cause me to have blood clots, thrombosis. stroke, heart attack etc? i'm desperate for a family and been given this to fix period. but have health anxiety and side effects scare me so bad?

: If you're not a smoker, &amp; have no history of blood clots,phlebitis  or stroke, I would have no concerns about taking provera for a week. It is a very commonly prescribed hormone for women. Your gynecologist, who knows you well, can also reassure you.
