Have medical care.: Blood clotting disorders in pregnancy can cause, besides blood clots, pregnancy loss and/or fetal growth restriction.  Women with these conditions often need to be on blood thinners starting early in pregnancy.  They should also have regular close followup with their obgyn.  Often, because of the use of blood thinners, the delivery is scheduled in order to time when to stop the blood thinner.

If : If someone is undergoing a major operation and the operation is expected to be long a small dose of blood thinner (much lower than the dose to fully thin the blood) is usually given to prevent a blood clot from forming while the patient is undergoing surgery.

i take blood thinner medicine (acitrom 2mg) daily since i had blood clot in brain. do i need to stop my blood thinner before taking covid vaccine or any other precautions? i'll be taking covishield or covaxin, thanks?

: There is no need to stop the blood thinner. Tell the person giving you the vaccine. You may wait longer than 15 minutes, at the clinic, after the shot to make sure there is no bleeding in the tissue.

Yes: Yes it can. Although multiple factors go into a clot formation. Just keep it moving! Just walk around every 20-40 minutes.

Check with your MD: Generally yes, but each patient should get clearance from the treating physician.  It depends on a few things-- how long the clots have been treated, how large the clots are, where they are located, and what your other medical problems are.

Doppler test is: a way to determine if you have blood clots.  Please see your doc who will determine if you need that test or not.  If not, maybe your anxiety is manifesting in fears about you health.  This is fairly common and very treatable by a mental health professional. Only temporarily: In the short term, it is advisable to avoid strenous activity in an effort to prevent movement of the clots.  Generally, after you have been on appropriate blood thinners for a reasonable amount of time, your doctor will clear you to participate in normal levels of activity.  In fact, as you recover, activity can help reduce your risk of developing swelling in your legs.
