Check with your MD: Generally yes, but each patient should get clearance from the treating physician. It depends on a few things-- how long the clots have been treated, how large the clots are, where they are located, and what your other medical problems are.

Blood clots: No you should not exercise with blood clots in your leg until you are cleared by your doctor. There is a chance the clot can travel to your lungs and cause death.

Generally yes: Bed rest after a blood clot is now known to not be a good choice for treatment. Walking should be encouraged 24 hours after the diagnosis and exercise can generally be resumed within 5-7 days after blood thinners have been started. If something hurts, don't do it and get clearance from your doctor first.
