grndson age 4 had cbc completed 1/23/22 due to pale, tired, & dark circles under eyes. alwys gets sick, preemie, cold erly dec. his mpv is 7.7 & plt is 777. ped states high bc was sick dec. can i ask for inflammatory disease testing is in his genes?

: You can ask for anything but why? The elevated platelet count is a non specific inflammatory marker ant these are generally elevated during or after illness. If you don't trust the doc knows what s/he is doing find another doc. Don't go online to 2nd guess someone who cares for patients as a full time job.

my iron levels keep falling low despite taking iron supplements since having baby 7 months ago. not breast feeding anymore, eat healthy and trying to exercise but makes me feel so tired. i'm bruising easily and have dark circles under eyes which is unusua

Yes: Probably not that unusual but not normal.  If your iron keeps dropping, that would indicate you are losing it somewhere, meaning bleeding.  So a source of blood loss should be investigated.  

Also, taking vitamin c with the iron supplement and taking the iron on an empty stomach helps it get absorbed better.  If your just can't build up with oral iron, you might need to get the iron intravenously.

Cool soaks and rest: Dark circles occur when the blood vessels beneath the skin show through in those that have thinner skin in this area.  Allergies can make this worse.  Use allergy meds as needed and try cool soaks to the area.  You can probably make it better, but not get rid of these entirely.  This is genetic and not a disease.

Allergies?: A 19 year old male with really dark underye circles - can be caused by allergies. Try oral antihistamine or nasal steroid spray. See an allergist to determine specific environmental allergies and help with avoidance measures.

Dark circles : Not enough sleep, illness, systemic allergies, dehydration, hereditary pigmentation (in darker skinned individuals).

Dark under eyes : Circles, or shiners, most commonly are due to congestion in the nasal cavity and sinuses, engorged blood vessels overlap and give the dark hue, or may be just darkened skin, please make sure first that you don't have nose or sinus disease before embarking on treating the skin in that area

Skin medications: Should not be used close to your eyes.  Often, they are too concentrated or the preservatives in them will irritate your eyes.  Consult with your ophthalmologist about a safe eye ointment that will help your problem.

Many products, but: I don't know any that work well.  Some people inherit dark circles to some degree, but other times it's from anemia or environmental factors such as lack of sleep or allergies of the eye/nasal sinus area.  Try getting better sleep and addressing whatever allergies you may have, both in your eyes and in your sinuses, and get a medical checkup if you haven't had one recently.

Difficult to say...: Many people have worse dark circles under eye when they are tired, hung over, or have used drugs.  For those situations, resting and avoiding the alcohol or drugs solves the problem.  Some people have dark rings under the eyes regardless, in which case there is little that can be done.
