Swelling = blisters: After a fracture and subsequent orif (surgical fixation with hardware), swelling is present to varying degrees. The excess fluid in the area will find the pathway of least resistance which is often into the skin layer whereby a visible blistering forms.

Drug reaction: This could represent reaction to medications given around time of surgery. If limited to hands it will resolve. However contact doctor and make him aware of situation because surgeon knows what medicines were given. If itchy see dermatologsot for prescription cream to help condition.

Not Normal: This is abnormal and should be evaluated by your surgeon. Retained stitches/foreign object is a possibility...

GO TO ER NOW: While this could be an allergic reaction to the mesh, sutures, cleaning solution, it is also very possible of a post-op skin infection called "scalded skin".  This can be life-threatening very quickly and if that is what it is needs immediate attention. Go to ER now - don't wait until Doc office opens in morning - the hours could save your life.

Major swelling can: Any major orthopaedic extremity procedure can cause blistering theoretically. Classic fracture blisters occur when the fluid from local swelling tracks toward the subcutaneous layer of the skin resulting in blistering. This can happen in much the same way after siginificant surgery, especially when major swelling is involved as the fluid fins the pathway of least resistance- often toward the skin.

See below: What i believe you are describing are called fracture blisters. They are due to excessive swelling of the soft tissue/skin. These blisters are usually  sterile and generally after five days the bed has healed up below .Progressively they will disrupt. You can use hibiclens a surgical washing detergent . Note they can be particularly a problem around surgical incision sites and lead to infection. I would check with your physician/surgeon about these. Good luck thank you.

Cheek blister?: Why are you waiting so long to get this examined? And why are you self-diagnosing?
Any lesion in your mouth that has not healed within 7-10 days, and especially one that changes in shape and/or size, needs to be examined clinically and possibly biopsied.
See your dentist or an oral surgeon ASAP for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Depends: Blisters immed after surgery usually secondary to excessive tension on superficial layers of skin.  This may be caused by swelling alone or surgical tape placed in excessive tension to secure bandage.  If this seemed to develop later could be superficial skin infection or cellulitis especially if area seems to be expanding.  If this is the case should be evaluated by your surgeon.

i had my left knee replaced 1-15-19. 2 days after the surgery i got a large blister on the inside of my left knee. what is the cause ty?

Possible reation: to tape or dressing as well as underlying infection. I suggest calling your surgeon.
