Third Possibility: It could also be angular chelitis which always occurs in the corners of the mouth. There can be many causes & like herpes & excema is made worse by periods of stress. Your dentist should be able to help determine what's going on and how best to treat it. Cold sores do generally blister or "come to a head" while eczema generally doesn't. Angular chelitis does not either.

Cover w/occlusion...: With a break in the skin from either eczema (dry skin condition) and/or blisters, it hurts when pressure is applied on the foot because the skin will stretch and the sites are "raw".  A way to calm the foot as well as provide some counter for the dryness is to apply cream, lotion and/or ointment under occlusion  (coverage) - using such things as Saran wrap, gel socks and/or bandage dressing.

how to tell the difference between scabies and dyshidrotic eczema? went to check the doctor and he said that it the bumps and blisters look like eczema but i had scabies 2 years ago.

Location/appearance: The dyshidrotic eczema is typically found on palms of hands, front of fingers or bottom of feet, scabies on the trunk and backside of hands &amp; fingers. The skin defect differs.

Eczema + Blisters: It probably will clear up eventually but the longer it stays around, the more uncomfortable you will be and the greater the chance of scarring. Try some otc cortisone cream. If that doesn't work, see your doctor.

See Dermatologist: Uncomplicated eczema does not blister.  Eczema may sometimes weep or get crusty and even then it is often a sign of secondary infection, usually bacterial. If you have eczema with blisters then you may have a secondary viral infection called "eczema herpeticum " in which case you need to consult a dermatologist immediately.

Irritant?: If your thumb is subjected to repetitive trauma or irritation, the blister will keep on coming until the trigger has been eliminated. Make sure you are using strong detergent or solvents on that thumb.

A qualified yes: If you meant atopic dermatitis then the answer is unusual. If you meant contact dermatitis , then the answer is often yes.  I suspect that you might have used neosporin (or equivalent) OTC ointment on the wound site and have developed a contact allergy to one of the ingredients (neomycin). Try topical HC cream and stop the antibiotic ointment. If problem persists , see your doctor.
