Blast crisis in CML: ... is usually picked up by a blood test or bone marrow biopsy showing increased numbers of immature blast cells, not necessarily by symptoms. It can be accompanied by low numbers of normal RBC (anemia) causing shortness of breath with exercise, or easy bruising from low platelets. The spleen can become enlarged causing abdominal fullness.

Difficult case: it is a complicated case obviously. first and foremost the infection has to be treated.  i would suggest you to follow up with ID and oncologist very closely. importantly is to check if there is certain mutation like T315i mutation as this mutation is resistant to gleevec, sprycel, tasigna (nilotinib) - and should be treated  with  ponatinib  or  aurora kinase inhibitor etc. discuss with oncologist. Seek support: If you need a support system, seek out assistance as soon as possible.  Family service association or you local mental health association can get you in the right direction.  If you feel at risk to harm yourself or your children, or feel that you are at risk call your local hospital emergency services for immediate attention.  If there is family seek support there as well.
