this morning i was on the toilet, and i had to normal stools , and 2 little stools  they was like a almond and they where both colored maroon on the top?

See ur pcp ; GI: The maroon coloured stool could be blood. If that is the case then it will need further investigations. Please see your primary care and a GI physician. Please keep a record of any further abnormal stools which you can present to the physician. Hope this helps.

i have almond shapes in stool a lot i have ate nothing in three days still these show up not on medication what can it be?

Several issues....: First, I'm not clear if you have things that are shaped like almonds embedded in your stool, or if your stool itself is almond-shaped. Second, it is also not clear why you have not eaten anything for three days, but that is a major red flag. Food is essential for survival, and you shouldn't be fasting for 3 days at a time. Finally, you really need to see a primary care doc or GI specialist ASAP.

my baby's pediatrician asked me not to give my daugther milk or even lactaid for 3 days because of loose stools. can she at least have almond milk which she likes?

Yes: Almond milk or hemp milk are nutritious and not related to cow's milk.

23-yr-old female living in the caribbean temporarily. my stool is bristol type 2 and has little white things that look like sesame seeds. suggestions?

White lumps: You probably have a parasitic infection. What you are describing can be caused by a giardia infection. But, you could also be seeing the eggs laid by intestinal worms. See a physician who is knowledgeable about these possibilities.

what types of things can be detected from a stool culture? it has me very nervous.

Accepted Answer

Many things.: It depends on the type of "culture".  Commonly bacteria.. But also viruses, fungus and even ova and parasite (if ordered).  Additionally we usually look for occult blood and white blood cells (by a few different names).

i checked my stool , i know it sounds weird but i found on a couple occassions now gooey worm type stringy things like mucus is this normal?

Wiggling?: If they wiggle they are worms!  Ha, ha: joke (mostly) Yes you can have mucus in stool sometimes. If you have pain or bleeding and mucus that is NOT normal and you should get checked.  Eat a lot of blueberries and drink blue drinks,  Then your stool will look a whole lot more interesting and kinda cool looks (polkadots with blue fuzz)

i have been diagnosed with g6bd since i was a kid . i was wondering what types of plant-based milk can i have ?? is soy and almond safe or will it kill me?

: With G6PD it is stated that soy should be avoided. You must learn what else to avoid, though. I suggest googling this important list. Your hematologist may also have a list for you.

are cocoa almonds safe to eat if you have type 2 diabetes?

Carbs: With diabetes its all about carbs. If the cocoa almonds have lots of sugar, carbs will be higher. Bare Almonds are low in carbs. Look at the label and see what the carb content is. The bigger question is how many carbs should a diabetic eat. I believe 20g/meal is very low, 30g/meal is low and 40g/meal is controlled. This is based on my experience treating diabetics.

should i try another type of milk other then cows milk for my chronically congested 20 month old son?  i have heard that can help. rice, almond, soy?

Other reasons: Are you sure milk is the cause if your childs chronically running nose. There may be other things in the house that may be the problem such as a smoker, animal, flowers, dust or molds. Money wel spent might be having your child be seen by an allergist for evaluation.

i found flat brown wormlike things in my stool any idea what type of parisites these could be? i have had pain in my stomach and itchy anus at nite..
