what is the recovery time for gall bladder scope surgery?

Days-to-Weeks: Most people are able to go home the same day as the surgery; will require narcotic pain medication for 1-2 days; may return to light duties in 5-7 days, exercise in 1-2 weeks, and full recovery in 2-3 weeks.  Of course, every one is different--"results may vary"--like they say on tv.

Probably unnecessary: Clinical diagnosis of ic is usually made through detailed history, urinalysis, physicals including bi-manual digital vaginopelvic exam, and cystoscopy. The use of potassium test for diagnosing ic is controversial and adds limited weight to ic dignosis; so it's optional probably unnecessary. If endometriosis is suspected, laparoscopy is the way to confirm it.

Should be able: To eat fairly normally, eventually. Early after surgery eat small, light, non fat foods. As you heal & feel better over a few weeks or less you should be able to return to eating all normal foods. Fatty or greasy foods cause some people to feel bloating, gas or diarrhea after surgery.

Very Short: Most patients are discharged home the same day after laparoscopic cholecystectomy and are ready to return to work in about a week. Consult with your surgeon regarding activity and return to work. Latter will depend upon how physically demanding the work.

Hematuria: Blood in the urine can signify a variety of potential problems, cancer being one of the possibilities. Without seeing you and having access to all information concerning you it is impossible to say whether there is cancer elsewhere or another issue is present.  Your urologist or primary care physician assessing this is in a much better position to diagnose you.

Cystoscopy is best: If you have bladder symptoms such as blood in the urine(Hematuria) you may need Cystoscopy which is the only way to make a diagnosis of Bladder cancer. There is no simple blood test .Urinalysis is the first test to look for various causes of blood in the urine. This includes UTI also called Cystitis. Please tell us your age as that may help to narrow the possible causes of your Urinary symptoms.

i had bladder cancer 15 yrs ago and they now have found trace of blood in my urine. doc scoped me and found no tumor. he is sending it away for a full?

Source in GU tract: Wait for full report , further evaluation by tests .It is good no visible tumor , always possible to have an early recurrence not seen by necked eye  only by  urine cytology , even if it is , possible to get rid of it. Speak to your doctor.

so i struggled with bladder infection for a long time, went to a urologist and had a cystoscopy done (my bladder pipe were very narrow and he struggled to put the scope in). its been 5 weeks and i still have a discharge ect. is this normal?
