Scratch: The likely source of the blood is abrasion to the ear canal wall caused by the q-tip, if not at this time, then previously. In general, we advise you never use a q-tip or any solid device in your ear as it is a blind procedure and you're likely to impact the wax (push it against the drum). Liquids are okay like warmed oil, hydrogen peroxide, or cerumenex. Doctors use an otoscope or mirror to see.

Hearing loss: Get this checked out. You could have a ruptured ear drum. The black wax could be dried blood settling into the wax. That could be why your hearing aids aren't working.

Wax: You can try Debrox which is an over-the-counter wax remover.  You can also use several drops of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 rubbing alcohol in the ear(s).  Note:  don’t put anything in the ear if you have a history of a perforation of the eardrum.

Need to remove it: Obviously you need to remove the earwax,though this must be done carefully. By saying the wax went too deep it sounds like you tried using a Q tip or other approach that pushed it in deeper and should never be done.You may be able to do this yourself with ear drops and a bulb syringe but if that doesn't work you may need to see a Dr.

OTC products: Some people are more "waxy" than others.  Avoid putting cotton swabs (q-tips) into your ear canal as that can take some wax out and push some further in where it can build up. I'd start with one of the various over-the-counter ear wax treatment products.  If this doesn't seem to help, or if you having other problems (like impaired hearing or pain) see your doctor.

Have doc remove wax: Impacted ear wax should be removed by your physician or E N T doc.  Do not put foreign bodies into your ear.  You probably pushed the wax further into the canal, thus decreasing your ability to hear.

i left wax-removing drops (waxsol) in my ear for 10 minutes.  for the last 2 hours my ear has felt very blocked. does this require medical attention?

Need a look-see.: Regardless of the mechanism of this sensation, it couldn't hurt to have an ENT doctor have a look in that ear.
