Seeing Spots??: Calm down. The chances are that it is not cancer. and if it is, it is definitely treatable. Some conditions must be examined visually to be accurate and color changes, involving the skin or nails, is one. Take a picture now to memorialize it for future reference. Callus.: If it's not a freckle or mole, it may be a callus. These tend to get very thick, may be painful, and can be darkly discolored on the pinky toe. If you're concerned, ask your podiatrist--if it's a callus they can shave it down and make you more comfortable.

i recently just started running again and i keep getting corns on my outer pinky toe on the left foot. always happens to the same foot in the same spot. besides buying looser shoes is there anything else i can do to help prevent this issue?

Corn pad: You may apply a corn pad, available over the counter,  to the site to prevent friction.
You may also use sallicylic acid cream to soften the lesion and scrap the excess tissue.

i have slight pain (feels like stepping ona bruise) on a small spot on the bottom/side of my foot about an inch below the pinky toe. diagnosed bursitis but steroid shot + prednisone didnt work. what would be the next guess? looking for 2nd opinion?
