Ct scan: A lung CT scan can not show mold of other infectious agents but can show scarring or other changes resulting from inflammation possibly caused by infection.

No.: Headaches after sex and exercise are well established and understtod.  You don't need an additional explanation.

so i was told after a ct scan that i have mold degenerative changes of the thoracic spine. what does this mean? do i need to go to the doctors for it if so what kind of doctor? im only 23

Accepted Answer

Primary care: Make sure you establish with a primary care physician so that a specialist can be consulted if needed. Definitely early for degenerative changes, even if mild, at age 23.

: Almost certainly there was no risk of any infection from use of the sex toy, and almost certainly you can rely on the MRI results and the opinion of the ER clinician. But if your husband's "bulge" and pain persist, he should check with his doctor. Almost certainly this has nothing to do with the sex toy.

Prob not small ones: Only significant "ischemia" or strokes/infarcts are clearly visible on ct or mri.  Mri is the most sensitive for detecting ischemic damage to the brain.

can pituitary tumour be seen on ct scan?

Accepted Answer

Yes it can: Ct scans of head/brain are usually pretty reliable in demonstrating pituitary tumors providing they are large enough. Mri of brain is probably more reliable, especially for small tumors.

can hiatal hernia be seen on ct scan without contrast?

Accepted Answer

Probably, but....: The CT image without contrast can show a suspension of some altered image of the included tissues/organs like suspecting hiatal hernia, and that with contrast can enhance the anatomical delineation of tissues/organs so to almost 100% assurance of hiatal hernia. Remember: Almost all medical care is based on INDIRECT evidence from accumulated experience; like wise, it is true for hiatal hernia. Best

had clear ab ct scan. 6 weeks later had ab u/s w/ probable liver hemangioma dx. why wld it not have been seen on ct scan ?

Technique: It would depend on the way the ct was performed. With IV contrast or without. Timing delay etc. So it is possible the hemangioma may not have been see.

can diverticulosis and diverticulitis be seen on ct scan without ivcontrast( cannot tolerate any contrasts ). also can 3t mri detect diverticula/litis?

YES: The newer CT scanners have the "resolution" to detect tiny abnormalities! You have to have that scan in such a facility!  The MRI  3T is more sensitive but costly. Discuss with your treating physician. BTW is there a reason that you cannot have a colonoscopy??THAT'S the "way to go!"

Small tumour: Yes it is possible.  But such a small tumour would be very unlikely to cause the symptoms you describe.
