Possibly related to: Spasms of the blood vessels of the nailbed, so called Raynaud's phenomenon. Cold sometimes is a trigger. But emotional stress can set it off too.  Exposures to many different things can.  In some cases this can be related to associated autoimmune disease like lupus, or other disease processes.  Your best bet is to be evaluated by a doctor in person, to make sure nothing more concerning is going on

Mold exposure: Mold exposure typically over prolonged periods of time (chronic exposure) causes respiratory and/or nasal symptoms including shortness of breath, wheeze, increased congestion, rhinorrhea, etc. Contamination on the hands for a brief period is nothing to be concerned about.
