My nail beds have been turning purple recently, now my thumb nail beds are so purple they're nearly black. my hands don't feel cold - what is this?

Possibly related to: Spasms of the blood vessels of the nailbed, so called Raynaud's phenomenon. Cold sometimes is a trigger. But emotional stress can set it off too. Exposures to many different things can. In some cases this can be related to associated autoimmune disease like lupus, or other disease processes. Your best bet is to be evaluated by a doctor in person, to make sure nothing more concerning is going on
